Jude Thaddaeus

Jude Thaddaeus was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus, remembered in Scripture chiefly for a single honest question at the Last Supper (John 14:22) and credited by tradition with the short New Testament Epistle of Jude. Because his name was Judas, the faithful long hesitated to invoke him — and out of that very neglect grew his enduring role as the patron saint of hopeless and desperate causes.
