Philip Neri
Philip Neri (Filippo Neri, 1515–1595) was a Florence-born priest who spent almost his entire adult life in Rome, evangelising through humour and ordinary conversation rather than the pulpit and founding the Congregation of the Oratory. Nicknamed the "Apostle of Rome" and the "lovable saint," he hid an intense mystical life behind jokes and deliberate self-mockery; he is the patron saint of humour and joy, of young people, and of the city of Rome, and was canonised in 1622.
